Ismeca Semiconductor Holding SA, the leading supplier for high speed back-end finishing process has reached a global settlement with Semiconductor Technologies & Instruments Pte Ltd (STi) to resolve its lawsuits in Malaysia and Singapore for patent infringement (5S, AGL and AGuL patents). While the terms of the settlement are confidential, STI will be permitted by Ismeca to use the aforesaid patents, granted to Ismeca in all major semiconductor manufacturing markets, Europe, USA, Singapore, Malaysia and China, (i.e. Singapore Patents SG109299 (Optical Device and Inspection Module), SG104495 (Method and Device for the Extraction of Electronic Components from Tubes), and SG116544 (Method and Device for Conditioning Electronic Components into Tubes and Electronic Component Outputting Device), and its Malaysian Patents MY135896 (Optical Device and Inspection Module) and MY136062 (Method and Device for the Extraction of Electronic Components from Tubes).)
